  1. Thawing: If your smoked duck breast is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or until fully defrosted.
  2. Cold Skillet: Place the whole smoked duck breast, skin side down, in a cold skillet or frying pan. Starting with a cold skillet prevents the meat from becoming tough and helps render the fat gradually.
  3. Gradually Heat: Turn the heat to low and gradually increase it to medium-low. As the skillet heats up, the fat from the duck will start to render.
  4. Braise and Crisp: As the fat renders, spoon and braise the duck breast with the rendered fat. This helps to keep the meat moist and adds flavor. Pan-fry until the skin becomes crispy, which usually takes about 5 minutes.
